For the stats hounds out there, here’s the play-by-play of the penalty shootout at the end of last night’s IHSAA State Soccer tournament Floyd Central sectional championship between the hosts and New Albany after a scoreless 94 minutes. (See link to story below): Drew Hirsch (scored) 1-0. Floyd Central: Cray Trimble (scored) 1-1. NA: Jordan Blessinger (saved by Clark to his right) 1-1. FC: Danny Laird (hit the crossbar) 1-1. NA: Sean O’Connor (Clark saved to his left) 1-1. FC: Joe Bauer (saved by Reynolds) 1-1. NA: Nick Blackwell (scored) 2-1. FC:Will Spiller (wide right) 2-1. NA: Justin Oliver (scored) 3-1.
