The southern Indiana girls won seven games and tied one for a total of league title winning 22 points in the KSSL’s Gold Division, finishing eight points ahead of second placed Javanon.
They improved as the season progressed with its passing, dribbling, and overall teamwork effort.
Coach Walter Iglesias said he was “extremely proud” of each one of the team.
“We have watched their talent grow over the course of the season,” he said. “Every girl came out with passion for the game and gave it their all. The teamwork was really what made the difference plus each girl having the heart of a winner.”
Iglesias added that the team is hoping to take it to the next level and gear up for another great spring.
“We want to give the girls some exposure as many would like to play in college,” he said.
Coach Rocky Batanovic said there was not one game this season where the girls showed a sign that they couldn’t secure victory.
“They went into every game knowing that they could win,” he said. “It was truly an honor to coach a team that has a full roster of players that believe in each other like these girls did every single game.”
