The Class 2A boys’ sectional 30  final will be contested between Jasper and New Albany after they recorded 2-0 and 1-0 wins over Jeffersonville and Floyd Central respectively tonight.

Kameron Jenkins scored his 17th of the season  for the Bulldogs against the Highlanders in the first of the evening’s semifinals with 4:28 of the first half to go. It was enough to see New Albany through to Saturday’s decider at Floyd Central (2 p.m.).

They will take on the Jasper Wildcats, who scored in both halves courtesy of  a Tyler Huckelby brace to account for Hoosier Hills Conference champion Jeffersonville.

At Providence, the Class A Sectional 60 semifinals were up for decision and saw the hosts book a place in the final after an 8-1 victory against Silver Creek.

The Dragons took the lead through Dierking, but the Pioneers hit back with goals from Wilburn (2), Crawley, Murray, Neace, Hesse, Aria, and Bass.

They will meet Christian Academy of Indiana in Saturday’s decider ( 2 p.m.) after the Warriors beat North Harrison 4-1.
