Playing Elite

Among those participating in the Indiana Elite North/South soccer games held at Hamilton Heights HS in Arcadia, Indianapolis recently were (from left): Morgan Hutchinson, Kamaren Cole, Michelle Klueppelberg, Taylor Little (all New Albany), Taylor Patty (Floyd Central) and Taylor Briscoe (New Albany). Not in picture: Emma Wesp. The girls were part of the mega schools division south team.

A number of our area high school players were involved in the Indiana Elite North vs. South All Star Challenge which took place at Hamilton Heights HS in Arcadia last week.

The matchups were divided into four divisions: 1A small, 1A medium, 2A large and 2A mega schools.

Cauldon Feldhaus, Acy Huffman and Vincent Straight of Jeffersonville were on the mega school division south, who were leading 1-0 when the game was curtailed in the second half due to inclement weather.

Kelsey Rogers, Casey Marlin, Lauren Holland, Erin Wallace, all of Providence, were on the medium school division south team ,which ran out 2-1 winners. The Pioneers’ Dave Smith was also a coach for the squad.

Morgan Hutchinson, Kamaren Cole, Michelle  Klueppelberg, Taylor Little, Taylor Briscoe (all New Albany), Taylor Patty (Floyd Central) and Emma Wesp (Charlestown) were on the mega school division south team, which narrowly went down to the North team on penalty kicks. The Bulldogs’ Julie Dueser was a coach for the team.
